Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2024
This policy explains the browser storage and privacy choices used by the Unity Innovations website, including essential preferences and optional analytics or marketing categories.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or its providers may store on a device. Similar technologies include local browser storage, which can remember a preference without placing an ordinary cookie. These technologies can serve different purposes, so the distinction between essential functionality and optional measurement or advertising matters.
This website’s custom components use essential browser storage to remember the privacy choices you make. They do not include an optional analytics package, advertising pixel, or external AI chat tracker. Hosting-platform functions may use their own necessary technologies to deliver and protect the website. Those platform functions are separate from the confirmation-only forms.
2. Essential privacy-preference storage
The privacy-preference record is named unity_privacy_choices_v1. It contains whether optional analytics and marketing were accepted or rejected, a version indicator, and the time the decision was saved. It does not contain your form entries, inquiry message, feedback, assistant questions, name, email address, or customer records.
The record is stored in your browser for up to 180 days and is used to remember your choice on a later visit. If the record is missing, expired, invalid, or unavailable, the banner can appear again. If your browser blocks storage, your controls still work during the current session, but the site may not remember the decision after you leave.
3. Optional analytics
An analytics tool, if introduced, could help evaluate how people use website sections and where navigation may be improved. Depending on the tool, that activity could involve device information, page events, or identifiers. Any such use should be described with sufficient detail before it is enabled.
No optional analytics tool is included in these website components. Turning the Analytics category on records your preference and, where available, communicates it to Shopify’s consent system. It does not install an analytics provider by itself. Optional analytics remain off until an affirmative choice is made, and you can change that choice through Privacy choices in the footer.
4. Optional marketing
Marketing technologies, if introduced, could measure advertising or support targeted marketing. They may have different privacy effects from basic website operation, and they should not be treated as necessary merely because they are useful to a business. Accepting marketing is optional.
No advertising pixel or marketing tracker is included in these website components. The Marketing control records your preference for the category and can communicate it to Shopify’s consent system where available. Unity Innovations does not use the website forms to sell personal information or build an advertising audience. New marketing tools would require an appropriate review of the notice, configuration, and consent behavior.
5. Making an initial choice
The privacy banner provides Accept optional, Reject optional, and Settings. Accept optional enables the available optional preference categories, subject to a detected Global Privacy Control signal. Reject optional keeps analytics and marketing off. Settings lets you make separate choices for each optional category.
Essential storage remains enabled because it remembers the decision itself and supports the basic controls. You do not have to accept optional categories to read the site, review services, use the assistant, or complete a confirmation-only form. Scrolling, closing a different window, or continuing to browse is not treated as agreement to optional tracking.
6. Changing or withdrawing a choice
You can reopen Privacy choices using the control in the footer, switch optional categories on or off, and save the new decision. Reject optional is also available in the preferences window. A new saved choice replaces the previous record and starts a new retention period for that preference record.
Changing a choice should govern future use of the optional categories controlled by the site. It does not necessarily remove information a provider lawfully received before withdrawal, and it cannot directly delete a provider’s independent records. Because these components do not include optional tracking tools, there is no optional measurement history created by them to delete.
7. Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control is a browser signal indicating a preference regarding certain uses of personal information. When the site detects that signal, its optional marketing category remains off. The preference panel explains the detected signal, and the marketing switch is not offered as a way to override it.
Essential preference storage still works, and the analytics category remains a separate choice. The effect of a signal on particular provider systems can depend on their configuration and applicable law. Unity Innovations does not use these website components to sell personal information or undertake targeted advertising, regardless of whether a signal is present.
8. Shopify and other provider functions
Where Shopify’s Customer Privacy API is available, the website passes saved choices for analytics, marketing, and preferences to the platform and indicates that sale of data is not permitted. Shopify-managed tools may use the platform’s consent settings. The banner is a choice interface, not an assurance that every independently installed theme script is automatically controlled.
Any independently added analytics, advertising, embedded content, or third-party app must be configured to respect the same choices. These custom website sections do not install those tools. If the store operator adds them, their actual names, purposes, duration, and consent requirements should be reviewed and the policy updated to reflect the deployed website.
9. Forms, the guide, and browser controls
Inquiry and feedback forms do not persist their entries in browser storage. They validate the required fields and show a completion message without sending those entries to the business. The website guide holds its current conversation in memory during the active session and does not send it to an external AI service.
You can also manage cookies and website storage through your browser’s settings. Clearing site storage removes the saved privacy choice and may make the banner reappear. Restricting necessary platform technologies can affect functions supplied by the hosting platform. Browser-level controls and the website’s optional category switches serve different purposes, so you may choose to use both.
10. Updates and questions
This policy should reflect the technologies actually deployed. If optional tools or additional storage are introduced, the notice and choice behavior should be updated before their use where required. The date at the top of the page identifies the stated policy update date. The general Privacy Policy explains information handling beyond browser-storage choices.
Use the contact details below if you have a question about the preferences or need help exercising a privacy choice. The website inquiry form displays a local completion notice and does not deliver the question. You can change optional preferences immediately through Privacy choices in the footer without sending a message.
